Crushed Optimists

We are twin brothers who grew up in Central Washington. This blog is devoted to the life of Seattle sports fans, as well as various other topics that we will espouse for your enjoyment. We could be called another OFFICIAL SEATTLE SEAHAWKS site, but we'll take our uneducated crack at the Mariners, Sonics, and Huskies as well. A Seattle Sports Blog? Must be the land... of crushed optimism!

Praise the Tags!

Thank you Paul Tagliabue for helping save the NFL for all involved. Thank you.

To Tim Ruskell: You have lots of money now. Don't lose anyone key and now go after John Abraham like you've been rumored. That means keep Jurevicius, Manuel (if possible... if Green Bay offers him a starting role I don't see how he turns it down) and yes, maybe even Rocky Bernard. We are rolling in it because of how awesome last offseason was.

My quick Selection Sunday preview? UW will be a #4 seed if we don't win the Pac-10 tourney, a #3 if we do.

AFter last night they might get dumped to a 5:-(

Conference tournaments are stupid. First you usually end up avign to beat teams for the 3rd time, which is tough. And what is the upside? Say Oregon pulls off a miracle and goes all the way. All that means is you get a crummy team in the tourney who will promptly lose and Cal loses their Bubble spot, unless you are the Big East or ACC you probably will always lose one of your teams to fit in your upset champ.

Eric, I'd actually have at a 6 now. Such a stupid loss. I agree about the conference tournaments, while we capitalized last year, they are at best ways for better teams to choke away chances against teams playing for one last shot.
