Crushed Optimists

We are twin brothers who grew up in Central Washington. This blog is devoted to the life of Seattle sports fans, as well as various other topics that we will espouse for your enjoyment. We could be called another OFFICIAL SEATTLE SEAHAWKS site, but we'll take our uneducated crack at the Mariners, Sonics, and Huskies as well. A Seattle Sports Blog? Must be the land... of crushed optimism!

One Good Prediction

After my rather poor prediction that the transition tag didn't mean much (thanks a lot, Minnesota for opening Pandora's Box), sometimes it's nice to have one go the correct way.

This would be the Hawks signing Julian Peterson last night to a 7 year, 55 million dollar contract that feels a little rich to me on a guy who has spent the last two years struggling with injury problems. Still, when healthy he has the ability to be the biggest playmaker linebacker we've had since... Lofa Tatupu. Minus that, think a better Chad Brown.

Supposedly John Abraham is still dead set on Atlanta, but I feel the longer Atlanta goes without offering a good deal to the Jets the more irritated he might be and the more willing to negotiate. In the meantime, more people than me are guessing that Nate Burleson is going to get a contract offer soon as well.

Free agency is really just now starting for Seattle. Let's do it right.
